Curriculum

  • Longitudinal experience in pediatric sports medicine weekly with Dr. Grady
    • This includes a high volume of concussion and general pediatric sports medicine
  • Longitudinal experience in family medicine sports medicine with Dr. McGrath
    • This includes a high volume of ultrasound guided injections and other procedures
  • Longitudinal experience in orthopaedic sports medicine with Dr. Bartolozzi
    • This includes procedures and operating room observation
  • Training with MSK ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures throughout the year
  • Half-day per week in primary specialty office per ACGME guidelines
  • Monthly didactic lectures with core faculty and weekly didactic lectures with Dr. Grady
  • Radiology interpretation on a daily basis with core faculty
    • Elective time with musculoskeletal radiologists within the CHOP/Penn system
  • Physical therapy and rehabilitation experience in the clinic setting, learning both operative and non-operative rehabilitation strategies
  • Experience with orthopaedic subspecialty surgeons, including:
    • Foot and ankle
    • Hand and shoulder
    • Spine
  • Elective rotations available:
    • Exercise physiology
    • Pulmonary
    • Cardiology
    • All pediatric orthopaedic subspecialties including:
      • Spine
      • Hand/elbow
      • Foot/ankle
