  • Os Subfibulare

General

Clinical Presentation

  • Typically asymptomatic and incidental finding
  • Can cause pain or degenerative changes

Etiology

  • Theory 1: avulsion fracture attributable to the anterior talofibular ligament
  • Theory 2: unfused secondary ossification center
  • Generally thought to be post-traumatic rather than congenital[3]

Clinical Significance

  • Needs to be updated
