Purpose

  • Help to identify the cause of posterior ankle pain

Description

  • The patient is in a seated position
  • Legs hanging off of table
  • Stabilize distal tibia with one hand
  • Maximally plantarflex ankle with other hand
  • Positive test
    • Reproduction of pain in the posterior ankle
