Purpose
- To evaluate the cause of a patients groin pain by recruiting the Adductor Muscles
Description
- The patient is supine
- Hips flexed to 45° & knees flexed 90°
- Examiner’s fist between knees
- Patient squeezes fist with adduction
- Positive test
- Pain in anterior groin
- Pubic origin site of adductor muscles
Modification
- A blood pressure cuff can be used instead of the examiners hand to quantify the results
Pathology
- Sports Hernia (Athletic Pubalgia)
- Adductor Tendinopathy
- Osteitis Pubis
