Description
- Orthopedic brace designed to hold the wrist in a neutral or slightly extended position.
- Limits wrist motion to protect injured ligaments and tendons.
- Often includes a rigid volar splint with padded fabric supports.
- Secured with adjustable straps for stabilization and comfort.
- Does not really restrict pronation and supination
Evidence
- No more effective than aspiration, leads to stiffness and loss of range of motion[3]
- Can consider after a steroid injection to reduce the "pump effect"
