Decision to Place Advertisements
Dear Users! Thank you for making wiki sports medicine great. Our daily volume continues to grow dramatically. Every month has seen more unique users and page views than the month prior. This is great!
Accordingly, the cost of maintaining and development of the website is increasing. This project is one of passion with the goal of building the most accessible sports medicine website in the world. Driven by this passion, we have been paying the development and maintenance costs for the site out of our own pockets since its inception.
Those costs are increasing and we need to find ways to help offset them. We are going to trial some different advertising formats moving forward. The goal is to make them as unobtrusive as possible. We all hate popup ads! We have filed as a Not For Profit organization with the US Government (application pending).
