Purpose
- To help diagnose a cause of elbow pain, including stressing the Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis
- Depending on the reference, very similar to Cozens Test but likely subtly distinc
Description
- The patient is seated or standing
- Elbow extended, wrist placed in extension
- Patient is asked to actively extend wrist against resistance
- May repeat with elbow flexed as well
- Positive test
- Pain at lateral epicondyle
- Often worse with elbow extended than flexed
