Freiberg's Sign[1]

Description

  • The patient is prone
  • The examiner passively extends the patients hip and internally rotates it
  • Positive test
    • Recreation of pain
    • Compression of sciatic nerve with radicular features

Evidence

Piriformis Syndrome

  • Positive in up to 63% of patients[2]
