Purpose

  • Evaluate the common flexor tendon of the elbow

Description

  • The patient is seated or standing
  • The examiner places one hand on the medial epicondyle or common flexor tendon
  • The examiner uses the other hand to:
    • Passively supinate the arm
    • Extend the elbow
    • Extend and radially deviate the wrist
  • Positive test
    • Pain or discomfort along the medial epicondyle or common flexor tendon
