Purpose
- To evaluate the hip joint for causes of the patients pain
Description
- The patient is supine
- Both legs are hanging off the end of the examination table
- The contralateral/ unaffected hip is flexed up to the chest by the patient
- The ipsilateral hip is hyperextended and externally rotated
- Positive test
- Reproduction of the patients pain
