Description
What a Heel Cup Is
- A small orthotic insert designed to cradle and support the heel
- Features a contoured rim that surrounds and centers the heel pad
- Typically made of silicone, gel, foam, or rigid plastic
- Fits inside a shoe to add targeted heel support
How a Heel Cup Helps
- Reduces shock absorption by cushioning impact during walking or running
- Redistributes pressure away from irritated or sensitive heel structures
- Stabilizes the heel, limiting excessive motion that can contribute to pain
