Purpose

  • Evaluate the integrity of the posteromedial elbow as a cause of pain

Description

  • The patient is seated
  • The elbow is passively placed at 90° of flexion
  • The examiner hyperpronates the patient’s forearm.
  • This hyperpronation imparts a medial rotatory force to the ulnohumeral joint.
  • Positive test
    • Visualize or palpate posteromedial rotatory ulnohumeral subluxation.
