Innermost Intercostal Muscles

Description

Origin

  • Costal groove of superior rib

Insertion

  • Superior border of rib below

Actions

  • Assist in the function of both the external and internal intercostal muscles

Vascular Supply

  • Anterior and Posterior Intercostal Arteries
  • Internal Thoracic Arteries
  • Musculophrenic Arteries
  • Costocervical Trunk

Innervation

  • Intercostal Nerves
