Joint Type

  • Costal cartilages of 6th and 7th, 7th and 8th, and 8th and 9th ribs

Innervation

Vascular Supply

  • Anterior intercostal arteries

Movement

  • Gliding movements
  • Facilitates elevation of the ribs during respiration
