- Ischiofemoral Ligament
- Ligamentum ischiofemorale
General
- Capsular ligament along the posterior aspect of the hip joint
- Proximal: ischial part of the acetabular rim
- Insert: base of the greater trochanter of the femur
Function
- Strengthens joint capsule
- Prevents excessive extension
- Limits medial rotation of the hip joint
