Introduction

  • Radiographic measurement to assess the sagittal plane alignment of the elbow
  • Measured on the lateral view

Interpretation

Measurement

  • Draw a line along the anterior border of the distal humeral shaft
  • Draw a line along the open capitellar physis
  • The angle between the two lines is measured

Interpretation

  • Normal LHCA is 45-57 degrees
