Purpose
- Evaluate for ligament injury or instability at II & III CMC joints
Description
- Support the metacarpal shafts with one hand
- Place the other hand on the distal carpal row
- Press the metacarpal heads in palmar and dorsal directions
- Positive test
- Pain or instability at the 2nd or 3rd carpometacarpal joints
