Purpose
- Evaluate the presence and quality of the Palmaris Longus tendon
Description
Mishra I
- The examiner passively hyperextends the metacarpophalangeal joints
- The patient is then asked to flex the wrist against resistance
- Positive test
- Presence of palmaris longus tendon
Mishra II
- The patient abducts their thumb against resistance
- The wrist is slightly flexed
- Positive test
- Presence of palmaris longus tendon
