Purpose
- Evaluate the Piriformis muscle as a cause of hip or buttocks pain
Description
- The patient is seated, legs hanging off the table
- The practitioner resists hip abduction
- Positive test
- Reproduction of the patient's pain
- Or weakness, paresthesia on the affected side
