- Patellar Plexus
General
- Nerve plexus in the subcutaneous tissue overlying/surrounding the patella
- Composed a fine network of communicating nerves
Nerve Origins
- Anterior division of lateral femoral cutaneous nerve
- Terminal branches of the intermediate femoral cutaneous nerve
- Terminal branches of the medial femoral cutaneous nerve
- Infrapatellar branch of saphenous nerve
Clinical Significance
- May lose sensation of patella following trauma or surgery
