  • Resisted Active Forearm Extension Test

Purpose

  • Evaluate the cause of forearm pain

Description

  • The patient is seated or standing
  • Patient actively extends forearm against resistance
  • Positive test
    • Dull achy pain in posterior forearm just distal to the lateral epicondyle of the humerus
    • Weakness in extensor muscles dorsally
