- Common insertion for multiple wrist extensors
- ECRB is most commonly implicated in lateral epicondylitis
Anatomic Description
- Flat tendinous structure originating from the anterolateral surface of the lateral epicondyle
- Found just distal to the origin of the extensor carpi radialis longus (ECRL)
Muscle Attachments
- Orientation from anterior to posterior
- Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis (ECRB) (superficial to the radial collateral ligament)
- Extensor Digitorum Communis (EDC), Extensor Digiti Minimi (EDM)
- Extensor Carpi Ulnaris (ECU) (superficial to lateral ulnar collateral ligament)
