Purpose
- To evaluate the cause of the patients groin pain
Description
- The patient is supine
- The examiner places the leg of the affected side into a figure four position
- One hand is placed on the patient’s contralateral shoulder and one on the ipsilateral knee
- The patient is instructed to bring the contralateral shoulder to the knee on the affected side against the examiner’s resistance
- So as to perform a cross-body sit-up.
- Positive test:
- Pubic or groin pain
