Purpose

  • Evaluate the Carpal Tunnel as a cause of the patients hand and wrist pain

Description

  • The patient is seated or standing
  • Patient places palms together
  • Wrist extension 90°
    • Stretches median nerve within carpal tunnel
  • Positive test
    • Reproduction of numbness, tingling, or pain in lateral 3.5 fingers
