Demonstration of the Selfie Test[1]
  • Selfie Test

Purpose

  • Evaluate the cause of lateral elbow pain

Description

  • The patient is instructed to hold a cell phone
  • They should fully extend their elbow and flex their wrist
  • Then independently pressing their thumb on the phone screen or top button
  • Positive test
    • Presence of pain in the lateral aspect of the elbow joint.
