Purpose

- Evaluate the Popliteus muscle as a cause of knee pain
Description
- Patient instructed to removal contralateral shoe by internally rotated affected leg to reach the contralateral heel
- Essentially, what you would do to remove the shoe while standing
- Positive test
- Reproduction of the patients pain
- Note: Symptoms are best reproduced by allowing the patient to exercise just prior to physical exam
