Purpose


Description

  • The patient is supine
  • Abduct shoulder 90°, flex elbow 90°
  • Examiner’s fist under patient’s shoulder to act as a fulcrum
  • Passive external rotation over the fist
  • Fatigues the subscapularis for 1 minute
  • Positive test
    • Anterior capsule instability or apprehension
