Purpose
- Evaluate the Glenohumeral Joint and Glenoid Labrum as causes of shoulder pain
- Note this test is not routinely performed as patients do not tolerate it well
Description
- The patient is supine
- Perform apprehension test to max external rotation
- Provide relocation force on anterior humeral head
- Remove stabilizing hand and monitor for instability
- Positive test
- Dislocation or subluxation of humeral head anteriorly
