Purpose


Description

  • The patient is seated or supine
  • The examiner palpates the interosseous membrane between the fibula and tibia distally
  • Positive test
    • Pain upon palpation over anterior distal syndesmosis
    • Often worse proximal/anterior to lateral malleolus, ATFL
