Purpose
- Evaluate the integrity of the Tibiofibular Syndesmosis
Description
- The patient is seated or supine
- The examiner palpates the interosseous membrane between the fibula and tibia distally
- Positive test
- Pain upon palpation over anterior distal syndesmosis
- Often worse proximal/anterior to lateral malleolus, ATFL
