Wrist Tenodesis Test

Purpose


Description

  • Performed by passively flexing/extending the wrist
  • Bringing the wrist from flexion to extension
    • This should bring the digits into relative flexion while maintaining a symmetrical cascade
  • Bringing the wrist from extension into flexion
    • This should bring the digits into relative extension while maintaining a symmetrical cascade
  • Abnormal test
    • Failure of one or more fingers to move in the expected manner
