Purpose
- Evaluate the proximal biceps brachii tendon as a cause of the patients shoulder pain
Description
- The patient is seated
- The arm is externally rotated, abducted to 120 degrees
- Slowly internally rotate the arm and lower the arm from this position
- The examiner guides the arm down
- One hand should be palpating the bicipital groove
- Positive test
- Pain in the bicipital groove
- Palpable/audible snap
