- Adductor Minimus
- Pars lateralis
- Adductor quartus muscle
- Premier faisceau du grand adducteur
- Caput superius externum
- Adductor femoris minimus
General
- Small, variably present muscle in the medial compartment of the thigh
- There has been confusion about this muscle historically
Gross Anatomy
- Origin: ischiopubic ramus
- Insertion: medial lip of linea aspera, adductor tubercle
- Considered to be most superior division of adductor magnus[2]
- Highly variable; can be completely separate, partially or completely fused
- First perforating branch of profunda femoris delineates inferior border of adductor minimus from superior border of adductor magnus
Function
- Adducts, extends, laterally rotates hip
Vascular Supply
- First perforating branch of Profunda Femoris
- Medical Circumflex Femoral Artery
Innervation
- Obturator Nerve
- Tibial division of Sciatic Nerve
