Purpose


Description

  • The patients arm is resting at their side, elbow flexed to 90 degrees
  • The examiner palpates the radial head proximally and the radial tuberosity distally
  • The examiner maintains a constant pressure on the radial head
  • Passively pronate and supinate the forearm
  • Positive finding
    • Absence of tenderness in supination
    • Presence of tenderness in pronation
