Purpose


Description

Demonstration of the chair test[1]
  • The patient is standing behind a chair
  • They grasp the back of the chair, attempting to lift with a 3 fingers (thumb, index long fingers)
  • The forearm is supinated, the elbow is fully extended
  • The test is positive when pain occurs at the lateral epicondyle
