Purpose
- Evaluate for an anterior glenohumeral joint dislocation[1]
Description
- Ask the patient place the hand of the affected arm on the opposite shoulder
- Then attempt to touch the chest with the elbow
- Positive Test
- Unable to touch the chest with the elbow while maintaining the hand on the opposite shoulder
