  • Gastrocnemiofibular Ligament
  • Fabellofibular Ligament

General

  • Ligamentous structure found within the posterolateral corner of the knee
  • Functions as a static secondary stabilizer with morphological variance

Gross Anatomy

Anatomic Variance

  • It can originate from the posterolateral corner of the femoral condyle of no fabella is present[3]
  • Considerable variability found in cadaveric and imaging studies[4]
  • Presence/thickness inversely related to the presence/thickness of the arcuate ligament
