Purpose


Description

  • The patient is seated
  • Abduct the shoulder to 90 degrees, rest on examiners shoulder
  • Examiner applies a downward/forward force on the upper arm
  • Positive test
    • Feeling of apprehension
    • Noticeable anterior translation of the humeral head
