Purpose


Description

  • The patient is seated or standing
  • The patients arm is abducted to 90, forearm resting on examiner shoulder
  • Examiner applies gentle downward pressure on the proximal humerus
  • comparison to unaffected shoulder should be made
  • Positive test
    • Inferior translation greater than unaffected side
