Purpose
- Evaluate the inferior glenohumeral joint as a cause of the patients shoulder pain
Description
- The patient is seated or standing
- The patients arm is abducted to 90, forearm resting on examiner shoulder
- Examiner applies gentle downward pressure on the proximal humerus
- comparison to unaffected shoulder should be made
- Positive test
- Inferior translation greater than unaffected side
