Plantar Surface


General
- There are 10 intrinsic muscles located on the plantar aspect of the foot
- Collectively, they stabilize the arch of the foot
- Each individually contributes to control of digits
- They are innervated by the medial plantar nerve, lateral plantar nerve
- They are arranged in four layers
