Purpose


Description

  • Ask the patient to abduct their shoulder 90° in the coronal plane
  • Elbows flexed to 90°
  • Shoulders internally rotated so that the fingers point inferiorly
  • Apply an inferiorly directed force on the distal arm/elbow
  • Positive Test
    • Pain or weakness on resistance
    • Inability to perform the test
