Name

  • Meniscofemoral Ligaments (MFL)

General

Variant Anatomy

  • About 2/3 of people possess both bands, while 1/3 posses only one band[3]
  • Approximately 20-30% of people have both anterior and posterior MFL
  • Approximately 80% have one MFL, posterior is more common than anterior

Function

  • Contributes to stabilization of the posterolateral part of the lateral meniscus

Clinical Significance

  • Needs to be updated
