Purpose

the One Legged Hyperextension Test[1]
- Evaluate the Sacroiliac Joint as a cause of lower back pain
Description
- Patient is standing, facing away from examiner
- One foot is placed against the wall for support
- The patient hyperextends backwards, examinar may help stabilize patient
- Positive test
- Sacroiliac joint region pain increased on hyperextension
