- One of the accessory bones of the elbow
- Presents as a sesamoid bone within the distal triceps brachii tendon
- Etiology is uknown with congenital developmental and post-traumatic theories proposed
- Often asymptomatic, can become symptomatic
- Best seen on lateral projection
