Purpose


Description

  • The patient is laying in the lateral decubitus position with affected hip superior
  • Flex affected hip to 60°
  • Apply downward force to lateral knee
  • Positive test
    • Buttock pain radiating down back of leg
    • Due to tight piriformis muscle with sciatic distribution impingement
