Purpose

  • To evaluate the Tarsal Tunnel as the cause of foot and ankle pain

Description

  • Place the foot into maximal plantarflexion and inversion
  • Hold this position for 10-15 seconds before returning the foot to neutral
  • Positive
    • Patient develops pain or paresthesia in distal branches of the posterior tibial nerve
