• Pubocapsular ligament

General

• Capsular ligament at the anterior-inferior aspect of the hip joint
• Proximal attachments: iliopubic ramus, superior pubic ramus, obturator crest, obturator membrane
• Distal attachments: blends with hip joint capsule, iliofemoral ligament

Function

• Tightens during abduction and extension of the hip
• Prevents excessive abduction, extension of hip
