Purpose


Description

  • The patient is prone
  • Examiner places a hand beneath one of the patient’s ASIS and asks him to hyperextend the tested leg up to 15 degrees
  • Positive test
    • Patient’s ASIS is lifted up from the examiner’s hand that was placed beneath it
  • Negative test
    • Pressure of ASIS onto the examiner’s hand increases
