  • Bent-knee stretch test

  • Modified bent-knee stretch test

Purpose

  • Evaluates Hamstrings as a cause of hip or thigh pain

Description

  • The patient is supine
  • The hip and knee are maximally flexed
  • The examiner slowly straightens the leg
  • Positive test:
    • Reproduction of the patients pain

Modified Bent Knee Stretch Test

  • Same setup as standard bent knee stretch test
  • Examiner rapidly straigtens the leg
