Purpose
- Evaluates Hamstrings as a cause of hip or thigh pain
- This is a modification of the classic bent knee stretch test
Description
- The patient is supine with legs fully extended
- Examiner grasps ipsilateral leg at the heel with one hand, knee with other
- They maximally flex the hip and knee, then rapidly straighten knee
- Positive test:
- Reproduction of the patients pain
